Track Review: Welcome Home - All The Young

All The Young are one of my absolute favourite new bands and this is my favourite track by them. Ryan's distinct vocals suit the rolling guitar melody perfectly and the chorus is probably the catchiest I've heard all year. Keep an eye on this band, they're going to be massive.

Sweet acoustic track from Nile Marr (yes, Johnny's son). Beautiful lyrics and a simple, enchanting melody. Very easy to listen to and very easy to like.

Reminiscent of I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor-era Arctic Monkeys, It Blinds My Eyes is an entirely unpretentious guitar-driven track. It’s catchy, captivating rock and roll, devoid of supercilious lyrics and self-indulgent guitar solos. The Smokin’ Barrels are one of the few new bands making a credible effort to pull British rock music back from the edge of the grave, and god bless them for it.
